Shrewsbury 1-1 Hartlepool

Basement side Hartlepool collected their 13th point of the season as young striker Charlie Wyke's first league goal secured a draw at Shrewsbury.

Shrews took the lead when Connor Goldson delivered a low cross from the right and Jon Taylor rifled home.

Hartlepool pulled level when on-loan Wyke's low shot from 12 yards deflected past Chris Weale.

Shrewsbury went close to scoring again but were twice denied by Scott Flinders while Tom Bradshaw hit the bar.

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"I thought we did enough in the last 15 minutes to win the game. The keeper did well to save that shot onto the underside of the bar - and he denied us three points.

"It is frustrating to not come away with the three points. We had good movement, good passing and we probably should have scored.

"You couldn't underestimate Hartlepool today, they've pulled out some good wins away - it's a point and we have to keep up the momentum."
