Plymouth 0-0 Accrington

Accrington Stanley held out for a point against fellow strugglers Plymouth, who are now only clear of the League Two relegation zone on goal difference.

Argyle debutant Anthony Charles made a fine goal-line clearance to keep out James Beattie's first-half header.

But the hosts were on top after the break and visiting goalkeeper Cameron Belford made several fine stops.

He blocked Onismor Bhasera's close-range strike and saved brilliantly with his legs to keep out Reuben Reid.

But Plymouth were not able to find the breakthrough and remain three points behind Accrington, who are in 19th place.

Players need to regain confidence - Sheridan

"I was very frustrated with the way we played in the first half. There was no urgency.

"When we brought (Luke) Young on, he changed the game, he was the best player on the pitch.

"I think they will be pleased with the result, but for us it feels like a defeat.

"It's going to be hard to get confidence back into the players."
