York 0-2 Bradford

Bradford City earned a valuable three points in their League Two play-off quest with a 2-0 win at Bootham Crescent that spelt the end of the road for York City boss Gary Mills.

Late goals from Bantams pair James Hanson and Garry Thompson signalled York's 11th game without a win - and Mills' post-match sacking.

Hanson powerfully headed home Stephen Darby's cross with 13 minutes left.

Substitute Thompson then capitalised on a Jack O'Connell slip to seal victory.

Bradford's first win in four matches steers them to within nine points of the play-offs, with at least two games in hand on most of their rivals.

York are now just four points above the relegation zone.
