Irish Premiership: Linfield 1-1 Lisburn Distillery
- Published
Outgoing champions Linfield could only manage a draw at home to Distillery with their former striker Aaron Boyd scoring the bottom club's equaliser.
Skipper Michael Gault had given the Blues a 50th-minute lead with a nice curling left-foot shot from the edge of the penalty area.
Lisburn Distillery equalised 16 minutes later through Boyd's shot from just inside the area.
Distillery's David McCullough was sent-off for a second yellow card late on.
The point leaves the lowly Whites five behind one-from-bottom Donegal Celtic.
Tim McCann's are at home to Crusaders on Tuesday night in an Irish Cup quarter-final replay.
Linfield's season, meanwhile, appears to be petering out disappointingly after winning the double in the previous three campaigns.
Their only chance of silverware is the All-Ireland Setanta Cup - but they are faced with a 4-1 first-leg deficit in their quarter-final against Dublin club Shamrock Rovers.
