Joe Murphy was on target for Scottish

Jersey Scottish stretched their lead at the top of the Jersey Premiership to 11 points after beating fifth-placed Grouville 1-0 at Springfield.

Island striker Joe Murphy got the only goal after 81 minutes to secure Scottish their 11th win out of 12 league games this season.

Murphy seized on a loose ball and ran 20 yards before his shot from distance cannoned in off the inside of the post.

Scottish face bottom side St Lawrence in their next game on Saturday.
