FA Women's Cup: Lincoln, Liverpool and Arsenal advance

Precious Hamilton scored twice as Lincoln swept into the FA Women's Cup semi-finals with an emphatic 4-0 win against Leeds United.

Liverpool are also in the last four after overcoming Sunderland 2-1 thanks to a late winner by Katrin Omarsdottir.

In a delayed fifth round tie, Arsenal hammered Nottingham Forest 7-0, striker Danielle Carter starting and finishing the scoring.

Arsenal will meet last season's winners Birmingham City in the quarter-finals.

Lincoln 4-0 Leeds United

Lincoln's new manager Rick Passmoor, who has ended a 14-year stay at Elland Road to take charge of the Super League club, endured a bitter-sweet day.

In only his second match in charge, Passmoor's team went ahead of their Premier League opponents through Hamilton's neat 15th-minute lob.

Hamilton's strike partner Carla Cantrell went close as the home side looked to double their lead, then captain Casey Stoney headed against the bar.

The second goal arrived three minutes before the interval, Hamilton curling a fine shot into the top corner of the net.

Lincoln's pressure early in the second-half saw ex-Leeds winger Jess Clarke having a shot blocked and midfielder Remi Allen driving just over the bar.

A 79th minute foul on Clarke in the penalty area led to the third goal, struck home from the spot by Allen.

And Cantrell, like Clarke a former Leeds player, completed the scoring in fine style when she crashed in a 12-yard volley five minutes from time.

Sunderland 1-2 Liverpool

The WSL Reds had to battle all the way to beat the Premier League leaders and were fortunate to come out on top.

The visitors took the lead after just eight minutes, striker Lillie Billson collecting a pass from midfielder Louise Fors before scoring with a powerful 25-yard drive.

Midfielder Fara Williams then twice went close to adding to the score with long-range efforts.

And only a great save by Sunderland goalkeeper Rachael Laws prevented striker Natasha Dowie from scoring just before half-time.

But the Black Cats hit back after the break and in the 55th minute captain Steph McFadden was unlucky with a 20-yard free-kick that struck the post.

Two minutes later they were back on level terms when striker Sophie Williams headed in the loose ball after a Keira Ramshaw shot had been blocked.

And in the 66th minute the home side were almost ahead when a tremendous effort by striker Beth Mead hit the far post.

A shock looked on the cards, but the Reds squeezed through to the last four after substitute Omarsdottir, an Iceland international, volleyed the winner four minutes from time.

Nottingham Forest 0-7 Arsenal

Striker Carter started and finished the scoring as Arsenal crushed their Premier League Northern Division opponents.

Carter's opener did not arrive until the 23rd minute, but it sparked an incredible goal-rush that saw the Gunners lead 6-0 by half-time.

Jennifer Beattie, Jayne Ludlow, Ellen White, Jordan Nobbs and Steph Houghton all put the ball in the net to destroy Forest.

The visitors eased up after the interval and it was not until four minutes from time that Carter struck the final goal.
