Cliftonville aim to secure Premiership title against Linfield

Cliftonville can start their title celebrations if they defeat reigning champions Linfield at Solitude.

Reds striker Liam Boyce is relishing the chance to clinch the Gibson Cup against the Blues.

"Linfield have won six doubles in seven years so it's good to end their dominance - hopefully we can do that on Saturday," said Boyce.

"Everyone knows what it means to the club and it feels amazing."

Cliftonville will also secure the title if challengers Crusaders slip up at home against Coleraine.

Boyce has been a key player for Tommy Breslin's team, scoring 32 goals in the current campaign.

"There's been a brilliant atmosphere about the place and when we won last Saturday we were celebrating together with the fans in the social club," added Boyce.

"We've all stuck together and we are a big bunch of mates, just having a laugh, even in training."

The north Belfast side is chasing a domestic treble, with the League Cup already won and a place in the Irish Cup final secured.

Crusaders go into their Seaview clash against the Bannsiders without banned winger Paul Heatley.

Donegal Celtic's hopes of avoiding the automatic relegation spot have been hit by a triple suspension blow.

Pat McShane, Paul Bradley and Stephen O'Neill will miss the visit of Ballymena after being banned for comments made on Twitter.
