Northern Ireland striker Warren Feeney and experienced midfielder Jamie Lowry are among the players being released by Plymouth Argyle this summer.

Young goalkeeper Ollie Chenoweth, defender Anthony Charles and forward Jared Sims are also leaving.

The club have put reserve goalkeeper Rene Gilmartin on the transfer list along with striker Nick Chadwick.

But captain Conor Hourihane, defender Onismor Bhasera and veteran Paul Wotton have been offered new deals.

Also considering new contracts at Home Park are Guy Branston, Jake Cole, Andres Gurrieri and Isaac Vassell.

Highly-rated youngster Tyler Harvey, whose scholarship ends this month, will also sign his first professional deal.

Feeney, 32, has missed John Sheridan's entire reign as manager with an ankle injuiry.

But the former Leeds and Bournemouth striker, who has won 46 caps for his country, will be given the opportunity to impress Sheridan in pre-season.

It means Argyle could look to bring in at least two strikers over the summer, a goalkeeper and a defender as Sheridan prepares for his first pre-season with the club.

Sheridan, who joined Argyle until the end of the season in January, agreed in principle to stay on as manager of the club earlier on Tuesday.
