League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge have confirmed Wayne Burnett as manager on a two-year contract.

The 41-year-old took charge of the first team as interim boss after John Still joined Luton in February.

Chairman Dave Andrews said: "The board of directors were fully committed to offering Wayne a contract despite the mixed results since he took over.

"I feel that now Wayne can prepare for the new season and stamp his own mark fully on the team."

The Daggers only won two of Burnett's 12 games in charge at the end of the season, but clung onto their Football League status despite losing 1-0 to York last Saturday.
