The former Chelsea and Spurs midfielder has established the club in the Championship following their move to the Amex Stadium in 2011, external and their fourth-placed finish this season is the club's highest league since relegation from the old First Division in 1983.
The Uruguayan is under contract until 2016, external but he has made no secret of his ambition to manage in the Premier League in the past, although he turned down a chance to take over at Reading earlier this season.
"I fear [he may go] because he has been linked with so many clubs," Orlandi said.
"Every time there has been a place on a Premier League bench he has been linked with them.
"I don't know what he will do. It is his and the club's decision.
"He brings the style of football we play and he can bring players like David Lopez, Vicente, external and Wayne Bridge because he attracts their attention.
"He has been great to me and played me in a lot of games.
"The club needs to do something to keep him.
"The players tried everything to get this club into the Premier League but it wasn't possible."
