Jason Scotland signs new Barnsley contract

Barnsley striker Jason Scotland has signed a new one-year deal with the Championship club.

The 34-year-old joined the Reds in January on a short-term contract.

He scored six goals in 20 games to help David Flitcroft's side retain their Championship status on the final day.

Flitcroft told the club website:, external "Everyone who watches Jason knows about his goal-scoring abilities, but he also has tremendous experience, knowhow and drive that will benefit everyone."
