Ebbsfleet United: Steve Brown set to be named manager

Steve Brown is set to become Ebbsfleet United's new manager once KEH Sports Limited have completed their takeover of the club, BBC Radio Kent reports.

Liam Daish parted company with the Fleet this week after more than eight years in charge at Stonebridge Road.

Brown, who has worked at West Ham, Reading and Brighton, left his post as first-team coach at Dover this week.

KEH Sports Limited's Peter Varney expects the takeover to be completed by the end of the month.

Brown was previously a player and coach at Charlton Athletic while Varney was chief executive at The Valley.
