Accrington Stanley's Will Hatfield signs one-year contract

Will Hatfield has become the latest player to commit his future to Accrington Stanley, signing a new one-year deal with James Beattie's side.

The midfielder, 21, scored six times in 34 games for Stanley last season, four of those goals coming in an FA Cup win against non-League AFC Fylde.

He told the club website:, external "There's been a lot of change during the off season.

"James Beattie has come in as manager and there are exciting times ahead. I think we'll have a really good season."

Former Leeds youngster Hatfield joins George Miller, Ian Dunbavin, Laurence Wilson, James Gray and Dean Winnard in agreeing new terms with the League Two club this summer.
