York City have signed Estonia international midfielder Sander Puri, subject to international clearance.

Since making his debut against Latvia in 2008, Puri has been capped 52 times by his country, scoring three goals.

The 25-year-old, who played for St Mirren on a short-term contract towards the end of last season, has signed a two-year deal at Bootham Crescent.

"I'm delighted to get Sander tied up, but I would like another one or two," said York manager Nigel Worthington.

Puri follows former Burnley striker Wes Fletcher, who has signed a permanent deal, and Blackpool goalkeeper Chris Kettings, who has been brought in on a year's loan, in moving to York in recent days.

He has also had spells with clubs in Greece, Poland, Hungary and Finland.
