Scunthorpe United have signed goalkeeper James Severn and left-back Eddie Nolan to new one-year contracts.

Severn, 21, joined the Iron from Derby County last year and went on to make one first-team appearance, when he saved a penalty against Portsmouth.

Nolan, 24, rejoined the club on non-contract terms last February after being released the previous summer.

The Irishman, who has three full caps to his name, made 12 appearances for Brian Laws' side.
