Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has branded transfer speculation linking him to Premier League side Hull City as "ridiculous".
The Dane, 26, elaborated on an earlier tweet, dismissing suggestions that he had handed in a transfer request.
"I've never said I wanted to leave Leicester," he told the club's website., external
"You hear speculation of things you're supposed to have said or done, like handing in transfer requests and it's just ridiculous."
Schmeichel, the son of former Manchester United keeper Peter, joined Leicester from Leeds in 2011, having begun his career as a trainee at Manchester City.
He is due to join his Foxes team-mates at the club's training camp in Austria in mid-July, having been granted an extended break after a summer of international assignments with Denmark.
He added: "There has never been a thought in my mind that I wouldn't be coming back to Leicester.
"I've said many times before that I enjoy playing for this football club, I enjoy coming to work every day and I want to be successful here."
