Striker John O'Flynn and midfielder Tommy Doherty have signed new deals with Exeter City for next season.

O'Flynn, 30, has scored 21 goals in 98 appearances since joining the Grecians from Barnet in 2010.

Northern Ireland international Doherty, 34, arrived last year after spells with eight clubs including Bristol City, Wycombe and Hungary's Ferencvaros.

"They are both great footballers and exceptional professionals," manager Paul Tisdale told the club website., external

O'Flynn missed a month of last season because of injury, while Doherty ended the campaign with a back problem, but Tisdale expects them to have vital roles next term.

"We need our experienced players and everyone at the club to show real character this season, and that won't be a problem for them," he said.

"We know what we're up against and those two will help us face our challenge head-on and without fear."
