Scunthorpe United: Matt Sparrow signs two year contract

League Two side Scunthorpe United have signed their former midfield stalwart Matt Sparrow on a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old was a free agent after being released by Crawley Town at the end of last season.
He played for Scunthorpe for 11 years after coming through the club's youth system before joining Brighton in 2010.

He also scored the equaliser against Reading in April 2010 which secured survival in the Championship.
After moving to Brighton he helped his new side win the League One title in his first season, the fourth promotion of his career and went on to make 58 appearances for the Seagulls, scoring eight goals during a two-year spell.
He joined Crawley Town for the second half of last season, scoring three times during 17 games, including a goal against Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.
