West Bromwich Albion have signed Goran Popov on another season-long loan deal from Ukrainian club Dynamo Kiev.

The 28-year-old left-back spent last season on loan with the Baggies and made 12 Premier League appearances.

He has returned for the 2013-14 campaign with a view to a making permanent move to The Hawthorns.

"It was always our intention to get Goran back. He knows what the club's about and we know what he's about," said Baggies coach Steve Clarke.

Popov was sent-off for spitting in a game against Tottenham in February and the Macedonia international later apologised for his actions.

Clarke added: "He's a good player and it makes sense to bring him back.

"He understands the Premier League better now as well and we will look for even more from him next season."
