Albert Adomah is set to submit a transfer request to Bristol City in the next 24 hours, his agent has confirmed to BBC Radio Bristol.

The 25-year-old, capped nine times by Ghana, was the subject of two bids last week, which were turned down.

City refused to name the interested party but newspaper reports, external suggested Wigan had made an £850,000 offer.

The Ashton Gate outfit paid a six-figure sum for Adomah in 2010 and his current deal runs out next summer.

The former Barnet player has made 136 appearances for the League One-bound club, scoring 17 goals.

He has previously attracted interest from Crystal Palace and Swansea City.

Speaking last week City head coach Sean O'Driscoll said although he wanted to keep Adomah, "financial prudence" meant he would have to consider bids that met their valuation.
