The 22-year-old left-back, who made 93 appearances for the Dons after making his debut in August 2008, has agreed a three-year deal with the Seagulls.

Brighton's head of football operations David Burke said: "Our scouting department have been aware of him and impressed with his progress at MK Dons.

As he is under the age of 24 the League One club were entitled to compensation for his services under Football League rules.

"Brighton have made the lad an offer which is too good for him to turn down," MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told the club website., external

"I have known Adam since he was 14 and have enjoyed coaching him throughout that time. I have no doubt that he will be a success with his new club."
