Aldershot Town: Sale to Shahid Azeem's consortium completed

The sale of Aldershot Town has been completed, with a consortium led by former chairman Shahid Azeem becoming the new owners of the club.
The Shots entered administration in May following their relegation from League Two, with debts of £1.4m.
Joint administrator Carl Jackson said: "I am delighted that we have managed to achieve a sale of the club.
"The process has not been easy, but I believe that we have achieved the best outcome for Aldershot Town."
He added: "What this now means is Conference league football next season and a long term and hopefully successful future for the club."
The consortium, which also comprises former Aldershot board members John Leppard, Tony Knights and Russ Howell, had agreed a conditional sale and purchase agreement with administrators Quantuma Restructuring earlier this month.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Aldershot Town Supporters' Trust for their backing and to fans, creditors, staff, volunteers and players for their patience during these uncertain times," Azeem said.
"We will be working hard to repay this loyalty by creating a sustainable football club for future generations of Shots supporters."
