Irish Premiership: Ballinamallard Utd 3-0 Warrenpoint Town
- Published
Ballinamallard moved up to third in the Premiership after Jason McCartney's double helped them see off Warrenpoint Town at Ferney Park on Friday night.
McCartney scored a 39th-minute penalty after skipper Mark Stafford had been hauled down in the area.
Then a misdirected header by Town's Stephen Moan let McCartney in to smash his second just before half-time.
McCartney then set up Ballinamallard new boy Richard Lecky to score his first league goal for the club.
The result leaves Warrenpoint on three points from four games while Ballinamallard are on seven
