Wrexham recorded a vital win to get their season back on track with victory over Luton at the Racecourse Ground.

Andy Bishop's right-foot finish gave the Dragons a 1-0 lead at half-time, before midfielder Johnny Hunt earned victory with a 58th-minute header.

Luton substitute Alex Wall was sent off for violent conduct in an incident with Wrexham full-back Neil Ashton.

This was only Wrexham's second win of the season to end a run of three straight defeats.

Luton, meanwhile, lie 13th in the Conference Premier after their streak of six matches unbeaten came to an end in Wales.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Wrexham boss Andy Morrell told BBC Radio Wales: "That's a better feeling; a better feeling for the lads - that's what I said after the game.

"And that's more like us - front foot, bang at it, good quality in the final third.

"And it's no surprise when we have got a bit of quality in the final third and the lads we've got get on the end of it.

"It's just a lot better and you can sense it with the lads… because we're on the front foot and we didn't give them a moment's notice."
