Rangers have announced director of communications Jim Traynor has left the club.

Traynor took up the role in December last year after previously working as sports editor at the Daily Record.

He was also presenter of BBC Radio Scotland's football phone-in Your Call.

In a statement, the Ibrox club said: "Rangers today announce that Director of Communications James Traynor has left the club,"

The role at Ibrox saw Traynor become "head of media and oversee the development of all media platforms including Rangers TV, digital, online and print publications".
