Bristol Rovers: Preston's Chris Beardsley extends loan spell

Bristol Rovers have extended striker Chris Beardsley's loan from Preston until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old has scored twice in seven appearances since arriving at the Memorial Stadium in October.
Rovers manager John Ward said tying Beardsley to a longer deal was one of his first priorities when the January transfer window opened.
"Chris was one that we felt we needed to do quite quickly," Ward told BBC Radio Bristol.
"Up front Chris gives a little bit more, and if we get someone wide or central again we will look at that area.
"We think there are enough decent footballers in the back line and middle of the pitch to play and work around, but we need to try and increase our shooting and goals total. You look at it and if that was better now we would be in better position."
Beardsley struck twice for the Pirates in four starts when he initially joined from the Lilywhites on a month-long loan.
The former Stevenage, Kettering, Mansfield and Kidderminster striker's deal was then extended until 5 January, but he has only made two substitute appearances since November after being sent off at Burton.
"Going into the new year it will be good to kick-start and get going again," Beardsley said.
"I'm looking forward to getting my head down and cracking on now that I know where I'm going to be."
