Nigel Adkins: Reading manager bemoans takeover uncertainty

Reading boss Nigel Adkins says the uncertainty over the club's ownership is hindering his chances of signing players in the January transfer window.
The Royals are in takeover talks with a consortium from the United States, while a group from Oman are also said to be interested in buying the club.
"Are we going to bring anyone in before the end of the window?" Adkins said.
"At this moment in time with the ownership situation as it is, maybe we're not in a position to do that."
The club have been looking for new investors for several months with majority owner Anton Zingarevich ready to sell up.
Current chairman Sir John Madejski owns 49% of the club and last month said that talks were ongoing with investors.
The club had hoped to conclude talks before the end of January to give Adkins time to strengthen his squad, but a takeover has so far failed to materialise.
"It has been well documented the scenarios going on at boardroom level," Adkins told BBC Berkshire.
"While that is going on it makes it more challenging for us.
"We've not brought anyone in during the window. There is a week left. Are we in a position to go and do that?
"We are not going to bring anyone new in for the weekend and we are mindful of where we are as a football club.
"That's not to say we are not going to do something."
Reading missed out on re-signing Southampton striker Billy Sharp on loan - who has rejoined former club Doncaster - as Adkins did not have the funds to bring in the player.
"I'm delighted he is going to play regular football," said Adkins.
"He's done fantastic job for me whenever I've been his manager. Would we like him to have stayed with us, course we would."
