Irish Premiership: Ballymena Utd 2-2 Coleraine

Ballymena recovered from two goals down to earn a home 2-2 draw with Coleraine for the second time this season.

David McDaid scored with a speculative shot at the end of the first half and Ruairi Harkin fired a 30-yard right-foot shot past Aaron Shanahan after 55.

Michael McLellan took the ball round goalkeeper Eugene Ferry and slotted the ball home on the hour mark.

Alan Teggart levelled with an 85th-minute penalty and Gary Browne was sent-off for dissent in added time.

Substitute Teggart stepped up to score the equaliser from the spot after a foul by David Ogilby.

Blustery winds, heavy rain and a bumpy pitch proved not to be conducive to good football in the first half, with the best chance falling to Steven Douglas, but his left-foot volley was grasped out of the air by Shanahan.

McDaid's wind-assisted 20-yard looping effort broke the deadlock and then Harkin won a tackle, before picking his spot and finding the net.

McLellan's goal set up a frenetic last half hour, with Teggart's penalty salvaging a point from the derby clash for the Sky Blues.

Ballymena drop to seventh position in the table, while the Bannsiders remain ninth.
