Braintree Town 2-1 Hyde

  • Published

Dan Holman's late winner secured a narrow victory for Braintree over basement side Hyde.

Braintree took the lead after just five minutes when loanee Bernard Mensah crashed in his first goal for the club.

Alex Brown's low drive from long range fooled Braintree keeper Nick Hamann to level matters before half-time.

Hyde's Adam Thurston was then sent off for a foul on Josh Laurent and 60 seconds later Holman swept in James Mulley's pass to snatch three points.
