Raith Rovers 1-2 Cowdenbeath
- Published
Cowdenbeath kept alive their hopes of escaping the relegation play-offs with victory in the Fife derby in Kirkcaldy.
Reece Donaldson missed an early chance for the hosts before Rory McKeown lobbed Cowden into the lead.
Lewis Milne added the second from close range with nine minutes left working himself an opening.
Substitute Greig Spence pulled a goal back for Rovers, running on to Calum Elliot's ball and tucking through Thomas Flynn's legs.
They could not force a leveller that would have made the hosts arithmetically safe from relegation trouble.
However, Rovers are still three points ahead of second-bottom Cowden with only one game remaining and have a much better goal difference.
The Blue Brazil have edged to within a point of Alloa Athletic, who lost at home to Dundee, and host Queen of the South in their final game.
Alloa are away to promotion-chasing Falkirk.
