West Ham Ladies: Julian Dicks appointed as new manager

Julian Dicks played for West Ham, Birmingham City, Liverpool and Canvey Island

Former West Ham United defender Julian Dicks has been appointed manager of the West Ham Ladies team.

Dicks, 45, made 326 appearances for the Hammers, external in two spells between 1988 and 1999, scoring 65 goals.

Bristol-born Dicks has previously managed Eastern Counties League side Wivenhoe Town and Grays Athletic when they were in the Conference Premier.

West Ham Ladies play in the FA Women's Premier League South and finished 10th out of 11 sides last season under previous manager Mark Saunderson., external

During his career Dicks also played for Liverpool, Birmingham City and Canvey Island.
