Byron Moore: Port Vale bring in winger from rivals Crewe

Port Vale have made their fourth signing of the summer by bringing in winger Byron Moore from local rivals Crewe Alexandra on a two-year contract.

Moore, 25, who scored 33 goals in 297 appearances for the Alex, turned down the offer of a new deal at Gresty Road.

Moore's arrival comes a day after fellow winger Mark Marshall signed from Coventry City.

The club have also signed of two defenders in Hibernian's Ryan McGivern and Colin Daniel from Mansfield Town.

Moore, who joined Crewe as a 16-year-old, made his first-team debut on the opening day of the 2007-08 campaign.
