McCord's header settled the tie

Ryan McCord's late header secured Alloa Athletic a place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Challenge Cup as Greenock Morton were knocked out.

Reece Hands passed up a hat-trick of second-half chances for Morton and Graeme Holmes had an effort saved for the Wasps.

Liam Buchanan and Greig Spence also threatened for Alloa as extra-time beckoned.

But the breakthrough came when McCord nodded in Mark Docherty's cross.
