Salisbury City granted winding-up reprieve in High Court

Salisbury City are currently owned by Outail Touzar and Mark Winter, who bought the club for £1 in May

Salisbury City have been given two weeks to resolve their financial difficulties and avoid being wound up.

The club were ordered on Monday to find £14,000 to settle debts with Revenue & Customs.

The ongoing dispute over the ownership of the Whites is due to be heard in the High Court on Thursday.

Salisbury have been plagued by off-field issues throughout the summer and are not currently a member of any division of non-league.

Initially, the Whites were demoted one division to the Conference South in June for failing to pay outstanding debts, before being thrown out of the Conference two weeks later having missed a second deadline.

An appeal against the club's demotion was subsequently dismissed by the Football Association and their application to join the Wessex League was rejected.

A five-person consortium are fighting to take control of the club from current chairman Outail Touzar, who has been in place since May.
