Ryan Giggs says Wales have the talent to qualify for Euro 2016 but must start with a win over Andorra if they want to build momentum and public support.

Chris Coleman's side face the Group B minnows on 9 September.

But there are doubts over the venue because of problems with the pitch at Andorra's new national stadium.

"You've got a good chance... especially when the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale are in such good form, Joe Allen as well," Giggs said.

Wales will also face Bosnia-Hercegovina, Belgium, Israel and Cyprus in their bid to qualify for the Euro 2016 finals.

Hosts France qualify automatically and will be joined by another 23 nations, an increase from 16 in the current format.

The top two teams in each of the nine groups will reach the tournament finals along with the best third-placed finisher, while the remaining eight third-placed teams go into play-offs in November 2015.

Manchester United assistant manager Giggs, 40, who won 64 caps for his country, believes the greater number of teams able to qualify will also help Wales, who have not reached a major championships since the 1958 World Cup.

"This time around there are more teams involved [in the finals] so you've got a better chance of qualifying," he said.

"So if you get off to a good start that gives you that platform and the whole country gets behind you, you get bigger crowds and you've got to handle the expectation.

"But that's what you want, you want big crowds. The campaigns I was involved in where we came close, you're getting sell-out matches in the Millennium Stadium.

"Hopefully we can get back to that and I'm certain we've got the quality."
