Henley came through Reading's academy but is yet to make a first-team appearance

Conference side Welling United have signed Reading goalkeeper Jonathan Henly on loan until January.

The 20-year-old played six league games for Aldershot last season and has previously had spells at Maidenhead United and Basingstoke Town.

Henly's arrival at Park View Road comes after first-choice Lee Butcher declared himself unavailable for selection because of work commitments.

The 25-year-old made 42 league appearances for the Wings last season.

A club statement said: "A change in work patterns has meant Lee is no longer able to commit to football at this level."
