Tyrone Mings: Ipswich Town defender signs new contract

Mings made 18 appearances for Ipswich last season and has played seven games so far this term

Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings has signed a new three-year contract with the Championship club.

The 21-year-old, who joined from Chippenham Town in 2012, will remain at Portman Road until the summer of 2017.

"We've been delighted with the progress Ty has made and his contract is reward for getting in the team and doing well," Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy told the club website., external

"I want to keep our young, exciting players and Ty is one of them."
