Mansfield Town 0-1 Accrington Stanley

Luke Joyce's first-half penalty helped in-form Accrington Stanley overcome 10-man Mansfield Town to record their fifth win in six matches.

Keeper Sacha Studer brought down Marcus Carver early on to gift the visitors a penalty which Joyce fiercely converted.

Mansfield were much improved after the break, with Rakesh Bingham's strike coming closest to finding a leveller.

But they were a man down when Murray was sent off eight minutes from time after a late challenge on Rob Atkinson.

Mansfield Town manager Paul Cox told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"There was a few raised voices in the dressing room, That first-half performance won't be tolerated at this football club; I'm not accepting that.

"Everything we have worked for at this football club has been about hard work and desire and we never grafted today.

"When you don't do the basics and the simple things well, how are you meant to win football matches?"
