Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has been fined £750 for comments made before his side's 2-0 League One home defeat by Preston on 27 September.

The Sky Blues boss was charged by the Football Association with "failing to act in the best interests of the game", having "acted in a manner which was improper when making the comments".

Pressley was summoned to appear before an Independent Regulatory Commission.

Having admitted a breach of FA rules, he was warned about his future conduct.

Pressley was critical of North End striker Joe Garner, who went on to score in Preston's 2-0 win at the Ricoh Arena.
