Paul Lewis' 66th-minute strike earned Macclesfield a narrow Conference victory over struggling Dover.

The midfielder latched onto Chris Holroyd's pass before scoring from a tight angle.

Dover were without loanee Ricky Miller, who had netted five goals in 10 games, after he was recalled by Luton and managed just two shots on target.

A seventh victory of the season saw Macclesfield move up to seventh and within two points of a play-off place.
