Torquay have lost just three of the 10 games that Wakefield has been involved in

Torquay United manager Chris Hargreaves says he would like to extend the loan spell of midfielder Josh Wakefield.

The 20-year-old joined on an initial one-month loan from AFC Bournemouth in August, which was extended last month.

Wakefield, who had a loan spell at Dagenham in 2012, has played 10 times for Torquay, starting three games and scoring one goal at Telford United.

"I'd like to keep him, I'm going to speak to Josh about it," Hargreaves told BBC Sport.

"I understand that we've got to satisfy his need to play games and I can't guarantee he's going to play every week, but I want him to stay and hopefully that happens."
