Serie A leaders Juventus saw their 13-game winning league run come to a surprise end as they were held to a draw by lowly Sassuolo.

The hosts, who have not won a match this season, took the lead as Simone Zaza curled a 13th-minute left-footed effort into the top corner of the net.

But Paul Pogba equalised six minutes later when he collected Carlos Tevez's pass and shot past Andrea Consigli.

Juventus could not get a winner as they dropped their first points this season.

They had won each of their opening six league games in 2014-15 to go with their seven victories at the end of 2013-14 on their way to the Serie A title.

The last time they had failed to win in Serie A was their 2-0 defeat at Napoli on 30 March, but Sassuolo, who moved off the bottom of the table up to 18th, frustrated them.

Angelo Ogbonna, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Pogba and Tevez all missed chances for Juventus and unused substitute Simone Padoin was sent off from the bench for dissent late on.
