Jersey manager Jimmy Reilly saw his side cruise to a 7-0 win against the 26th Army regiment in his opening match as island manager.
First-half goals from Chris Mourant, Jack Boyle and Chris Andrews were added to after the break by Jack Cannon, a pair for Rupert Murray and a second for former professional Boyle.
"Everybody was fantastic," Reilly told BBC Radio Jersey after the match.
"They had a great appetite and commitment."
The game is one of two that Reilly's side will play against the army side this week, with a second squad playing on Wednesday night.
"People have got an opportunity and everybody wanted to take their opportunity and everybody did themselves justice," said Reilly, who was appointed as Jersey boss earlier this month.
"Sam Luce is an 18-year-old kid at left-back and to be honest I thought he was amazing.
"He didn't show any pressure on the night, took it all in his stride and a young player like that is promising for Jersey."
