On-loan striker Callum Robinson believes Preston have a team that can earn promotion this season.

The 19-year-old scored his first professional goal as North End won an eighth straight game at Leyton Orient.

That result moved Simon Grayson's side into second in League One, just two points behind leaders Bristol City with a game in hand.

"We've got the quality and everything to get promoted this year," Robinson told BBC Radio Lancashire.

Robinson is on loan from Premier League side Aston Villa and has made three starts in his seven appearances so far at Deepdale.

The England Under-20 international recently extended his loan deal at the Lilywhites until January and could see himself staying at the club for longer.

"If Villa don't need me around the first team, I want to stay here," added Robinson.

"I'm enjoying it and I've been talking about it to the lads already that I would love to stay here until the end of the season and get promoted with them.

"Since I've been here, we haven't actually lost. We're all really confident at the moment, we've got a got a good set of lads and they've all really welcomed me."
