Tom Hitchcock: Fleetwood sign MK Dons striker on loan

Hitchcock is yet to score in his eight appearances for MK Dons

Fleetwood Town have signed MK Dons striker Tom Hitchcock on loan until December 28.

The 22-year-old moved to the Dons in the summer after his release by QPR, but has not scored in his eight games.

Hitchcock started his career at Blackburn and has had loan spells at Crewe and Rotherham.

The forward comes in after Liam McAlinden was recalled by Wolves from his loan spell at the Cod Army, after scoring twice in five matches.

"With Liam going back to Wolves it meant we had to bring another striker in and Tom is someone who we've watched for the past 18 months," manager Graham Alexander told the club website.

"We're aware of his ability and he scored goals in League One last season so hopefully he can come in and do something for us."
