Saido Berahino: England call-up all down to my mum's sacrifice

West Brom striker Saido Berahino says he owes his England call-up to his mum.
Berahino, who has been named in Roy Hodgson's squad for the games against Slovenia and Scotland, arrived in the UK a decade ago after being granted asylum from war-torn Burundi.
"My mum and I have had a long journey," said the 21-year-old. "She has always been there for me and sometimes been tough with me to get me back on track.
"We have come from nothing. I have got to where I have because of her help."

Berahino has scored seven goals in 10 Premier League matches for the Baggies this season, more than any other English player.
He has played for England at every level from Under-16 to Under-21, but this is his first call-up to the senior side.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, he said his mum had sacrificed "everything" for his career.
"Growing up wasn't easy and I wasn't the easiest kid to handle but she was always there for me," he said.
"Now we have achieved something together and I can share this moment with her."
Berahino could make his debut in the Euro 2016 qualifier with Slovenia at Wembley on 15 November. England face Scotland in a friendly three days later.
The frontman, who has scored 10 goals in 13 England Under-21 appearances, added: "England gave me a second chance in life and for me to be able to play for them is an incredible feeling.
"I think I have shown I am a good player. I've a long way to go and a lot to learn as a young player, but I back myself to keep improving with each game."
