Alex Smith: Yeovil Town snap up Ex-Fulham and Swindon player

Alex Smith's only first-team appearance for Fulham came as a substitute against West Bromwich Albion in September 2012

Yeovil Town have signed versatile former Fulham and Swindon left-sided player Alex Smith on a month-long deal.

League One rivals Swindon released Smith in May, having played 10 games in his only season at the County Ground.

The 23-year-old Fulham academy product made one Premier League appearance for the Cottagers and also previously had a loan spell with Leyton Orient.

The midfielder, who can also play in defence, is not eligible to play in Saturday's game at Preston.
