Welling beat bottom club Telford to move nine points above the drop zone.

Tony Gray prodded wide of a Welling post, while Kieron St Aimie blazed over at the other end in a quiet first half.

Tyrone Marsh broke the deadlock by finishing off Aristede Bassele's cross, and Benjamin Buchel maintained the lead with a sharp save from Adam Farrell.

Farrell provided a long throw-in that was finally stabbed in by Karl Ledsham, but Bassele grabbed the points by heading in Marsh's cross.
