Torquay United beat Conference play-off rivals Halifax to move within two points of the top five.

Ryan Bowman turned Toby Ajala's cross past Matt Glennon for the first, before squaring for Duane Ofori-Acheampong to score.

Halifax missed first-half chances, with Martin Rice saving from Scott Boden, Adam Smith and Will Hatfield.

Lois Maynard pulled one back after good work from Jamie Jackson, but the Shaymen dropped to eighth in the table.
