Tranmere Rovers: Hull City loanee Will Aimson suffers broken leg

Will Aimson made just two appearances on loan at Tranmere after joining from Hull

Tranmere Rovers' on-loan defender Will Aimson has had surgery on his leg after breaking his tibia and fibula.

The 20-year-old joined from Hull City last month and made his Football League debut against Southend.

The former Eastleigh centre-back suffered the injury in a collision with defender Danny Holmes in the 3-1 win over Portsmouth.

Tranmere are currently in the League Two relegation zone, three points adrift of Carlisle in 22nd.
